Supervision of the Leasing companies

According to the announcement of the National Bank of Georgia, work is underway on a new bill, according to which it is possible to regulate the activities of leasing companies. The National Bank, as well as leasing companies operating in Georgia, the EBRD and various Ministries are involved in working on the bill.

According to the President of NBG, the purpose of drafting the bill is to promote the development of this sector. According to the available information, the regulation will address the issue of supervision of leasing companies, as well as tax and other legislative challenges that the field is currently facing.
